The national park was founded in 1980 to protect the Komodo dragon, the world’s largest lizard. Komodo National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been selected as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Komodo National Park has it all for both the divers or island excursions lovers. The park includes the three larger islands, those are Komodo, Padar and Rinca, as well as the other 26 smaller ones where you can go trekking and enjoying the most magical sundown moment. This place is also a part of the Coral Triangle, which contains some of the richest marine biodiversity on Earth, makes it the most favourite spot for divers all around the world.
